An oil-round success - (Taken from the Henley Standard)

Henley Heating and Plumbing Ltd have installed an energy-saving boiler system at a customer’s home in Oxfordshire, and the inspirational, cost-cutting results have just been awarded the latest prize in the national Worcester Bosch Environment 2010 Awards for Excellence.

Henley Heating and Plumbing - currently celebrating its 25th anniversary year - undertook extensive heating refurbishment works at the house when the old cast-iron boiler conversion proved unmatched to the task. To make the installation cost-effective and super-efficient, Henley Heating and Plumbing installed two Danesmoor 50/70 kw oil-fired boilers - and added a sophisticated ‘weather sensor’ system, as well as a sequence control mechanism to cope with changes in energy demand.

There was even a ‘phone-in’ over ride facility to change the settings. And the whole job including removing the old boiler; altering the existing pipework, controls and oil line services; improving the flues; and installing the replacement system was completed in under two weeks!

"We are absolutely delighted to have won this Award, especially in our Silver anniversary year. It’s the icing on the cake!" says David Parfitt, general manager at Henley Heating and Plumbing. "The customer is delighted with the results. They now have a flexible, highly responsive and reliable boiler system for the first time. But above all they are seeing real energy savings - and lower fuel bills."
